This was one of the first watercolors CfM made and has always been a favorite! Because it is also a dye, this Indigo is not completely lightfast, it is very opaque and can provide a wide range of tones—at its darkest, its appears to be almost black!
CfM uses synthetic indigo pigment to make this paint because it simulates the rich color of genuine Indigo.
